oneworld named World’s Best Airline Alliance at 2026 Skytrax Awards

The oneworld airline alliance has been named ‘World’s Best Airline Alliance’ at the 2026 Skytrax World Airline Awards. The recognition, presented in London on September 18, 2026, marks the fifth time the alliance has received this honor.

Skytrax determines its award winners through large-scale customer satisfaction surveys involving millions of travelers worldwide. Luis Gallego, CEO of International Airlines Group (IAG) and Chairman of the oneworld Governing Board, accepted the award, stating it reflects the alliance’s commitment to creating connected and rewarding journeys for global travelers.

Ole Orver, CEO of oneworld, noted that the award acknowledges the consistent experience provided by member airlines, highlighting leadership in customer benefits, loyalty, and sustainability initiatives. The alliance currently comprises 15 airlines, including American Airlines, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Japan Airlines, and Qantas, serving nearly 1,000 destinations.
