Ontario police seize cocaine, disguised taser and arrest man after restaurant gun discharge

In Sarnia, a 66‑year‑old man was taken into custody after a police search uncovered approximately 205 grams of cocaine valued at about $20,500 and a prohibited weapon manufactured to look like a flashlight. He faces multiple charges, including possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine and unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon.

In Barrie, a 20‑year‑old man was arrested after a .22‑calibre GSG‑16 carbine was fired inside a Bayfield Street restaurant. Police seized the firearm, a spent shell, a crowbar, box cutters, a pocketknife, a small amount of suspected cocaine, cash and scales. No injuries were reported. He faces charges such as possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, unauthorized firearm possession and reckless discharge.
