Ontario police seize counterfeit money, drugs and firearms in two incidents

West Grey Police in Shelburne, Ontario, arrested a man after a business reported fake $50 bills. A search of his bag uncovered an undisclosed quantity of counterfeit $50 notes, cocaine, an imitation BB handgun and two CO₂ cylinders. The suspect also possessed a stolen motorcycle and was charged with eight offences, including uttering counterfeit money, possession of an imitation weapon and drug trafficking.

In a separate operation, Hamilton Police stopped a pickup truck in Burlington, Ontario, and seized approximately 32 grams of fentanyl, a loaded Glock handgun and Canadian currency believed to be proceeds of crime. Three occupants – a 36‑year‑old woman, a 37‑year‑old man and a 19‑year‑old man – were arrested and face multiple charges under the Criminal Code and the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, including possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl and unauthorized possession of a firearm.
