Ontario Provincial Police charge four individuals in drug, firearm and stolen‑property cases

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) announced two separate incidents involving multiple charges. In Lambton County, officers stopped a vehicle in Brooke‑Alvinston Township early on July 7 and charged two people with a range of drug offences, including possession of methamphetamine, cocaine, buprenorphine, oxycodone, hydromorphone and Percocet tablets for trafficking. They also faced several firearm‑related counts, such as unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm, possession of a firearm obtained by crime and possession of proceeds of crime over $5,000.

In the Municipality of Brighton, OPP executed a search warrant on July 6, 2026, recovering a stolen vehicle and a collection of trade tools believed to be taken from a nearby township. Two residents were charged with possession of property obtained by crime valued over $5,000, and one also faced a probation‑order breach. Both individuals remain in custody pending bail hearings.

The OPP is urging anyone with information about either investigation to contact the police or Crime Stoppers.
