Automotive manufacturers launch new SUV models and design updates
Multiple automotive manufacturers have announced new vehicle launches and product updates.
In China, Dongfeng Peugeot and Dongfeng Citroën launched three updated SUV models, including the 2027 5008, 4008, and C5 Aircross (Tianyi), with prices starting at 13.97万元. These updates focus on interior, exterior, and intelligent connectivity features like the Blue-i 4.0 and C-CONNECT 4.0 systems. Additionally, GAC Group partnered with Huawei to launch the Qijing GX7, a smart SUV featuring L3-level autonomous driving architecture and Huawei's intelligent solutions. FAW Bestune also introduced new models for its Xiaoma series equipped with CATL batteries.
Nio's sub-brand, Onvo, introduced a Starry Gold design package for the L90 electric SUV at a promotional price of 6,000 yuan to boost the model's appeal. The package includes a two-tone exterior and a Mist Gray-themed interior.
In the international market, the Mitsubishi ASX VR-e (based on the Foxtron Bria produced by Hon Hai/Foxconn) has entered the New Zealand market. Interestingly, the Bria is priced lower in Taiwan than the Mitsubishi-branded version is in New Zealand, with the top-spec dual-motor model in New Zealand costing significantly more than its Taiwanese counterpart.
