ONYX Tourism announces €387 million resort project in Sani

ONYX Tourism S.A. has unveiled a €387 million investment plan to develop a large-scale, integrated tourism destination in Sani, Halkidiki. Presented to the Association of Institutional Investors, the project aims to create a comprehensive ecosystem that combines luxury hospitality with agricultural production and renewable energy.

The development is situated on over 600 acres in the Kassandra region, supplemented by a 70-acre beachfront area for a beach club. The hospitality component includes 546 keys, consisting of 120 suites and 426 bungalows. Additionally, the plan features 228 branded residences, including 120 villas and 108 smaller homes.

Beyond accommodation, the destination will host wellness facilities, sports installations, a winery, an olive oil mill, a beekeeping unit, and a museum to house the George Cholozidis Collection. A key strategic element is the use of geothermal energy for heating, cooling, and thermal facilities, which is intended to manage energy costs and support year-round tourism.

Pending necessary licensing and contractual procedures, the main construction phase is scheduled to begin in the autumn of 2027. The company is also reportedly in advanced discussions with an international luxury hospitality group.
