OPΕΚΑ has scheduled the disbursement of various social benefits for August 2026, with the official payment date set for Monday, August 31. Depending on the banking institution, funds may appear in accounts as early as Friday, August 28.

Included in this payment cycle are the Minimum Guaranteed Income, housing or rent allowances, disability benefits, birth grants, and various other social supports. For the Minimum Guaranteed Income, recipients use a specialized prepaid card; they can withdraw up to 50% of the amount in cash from ATMs, while the remainder must be used for electronic purchases of goods and services.

The housing allowance is tailored to households renting their primary residence, with monthly amounts ranging from €70 for a single person to €210 for households with five or more members. Eligibility is determined by specific income and asset criteria, with maximum annual income limits applied based on household composition.
