Opel expands electric vehicle lineup with Corsa GSE and Frontera upgrades
Opel is expanding its electric vehicle lineup with new models designed to balance performance and range. The company has launched orders for the Opel Corsa GSE, an all-electric version of its compact hatchback. The Corsa GSE features 281 CV, 345 Nm of torque, and a 54 kWh battery, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds. It aims to replicate the driving dynamics of traditional small sports cars within an electric framework.
Additionally, Opel is developing an upgraded version of the Frontera Electric. Spy photos have revealed a prototype equipped with a larger 86 kWh battery, which is expected to provide over 500 km of autonomy. This development follows the success of the current Frontera Electric models, which utilize 44 kWh and 54 kWh LFP batteries. These updates align with the Stellantis FaSTlane 2030 strategic plan.
