Opel launches Astra Start entry-level trim with lower prices

Opel has introduced the ‘Start’ trim level for the Astra model range, aiming to increase accessibility through more competitive pricing. This new entry-level version follows similar rollouts for the Frontera and Combo models.

In the German market, the Astra five-door hatchback starts at €31,890, while the Sports Tourer version begins at €33,390. This represents a price reduction of approximately €1,500 to €2,000 compared to previous base trims. The Astra Electric variant sees a more significant price drop of €1,900, starting at €36,490.

Despite being an entry-level option, the Start trim includes several standard features such as ‘Intelli-Seat’ ergonomic seating, automatic climate control, a 10-inch driver information display, a 10-inch multimedia touchscreen, and a keyless start system. The trim is available with multiple powertrain options, including mild-hybrid, diesel, and fully electric configurations.
