Opel Corsa GSE electric hot hatch unveiled with 281 hp
Opel introduced the Corsa GSE, the most powerful production Corsa to date, delivering 207 kW (281 hp) and 345 Nm of torque. The model accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds and features a Torsen multi‑disc locking differential, lowered chassis, upgraded suspension, four‑piston front brakes and bespoke 18‑inch alloy wheels.
The public debut will take place at Portugal's Caramulo Motorfestival from 4–6 September, followed by a showcase at the Paris Motor Show in October. Opel plans to bring the vehicle to market before the end of the year, though pricing, battery capacity and charging power have not been disclosed.
Opel's marketing chief Rebecca Reinermann launched a new "Yes, of Corsa" campaign, highlighting the model's fun‑focused character with the slogan "The Opel Corsa – Made for Fun!" The campaign spot portrays the Corsa on a roller‑coaster‑style test track, emphasizing precise handling and modern technology. Technical data for the broader Corsa line include WLTP fuel‑consumption figures for electric and hybrid variants.
