Opera Naples announces 2026-27 season lineup
Opera Naples has announced its 2026-27 season, which Artistic and Music Director Ramón Tebar described as having the company’s “biggest artistic scope in terms of variety and diversity of genres to date.”
The upcoming schedule includes several major works and concerts, such as Handel’s “The Messiah,” Leoncavallo’s “I Pagliacci,” and Rossini’s “The Barber of Seville.” Other featured performances include Purcell’s “Dido and Aeneas,” Bernstein’s “Trouble in Tahiti,” and a triple bill titled “Love, Lies, and Libations.”
Events will be held at various locations, including the Wang Opera Center, Baker Park, First Presbyterian Church of Naples, and Moorings Presbyterian Church. The season also features the seventh annual Festival Under The Stars in Baker Park. While the Luciano Pavarotti Foundation Opera Naples International Voice Competition is not scheduled to return until fall 2027, winners from the 2025 and 2026 competitions are set to perform this coming March during the festival.
