Opole Province launches program to fund women's community projects

The Opole regional government has started the #JESTEŚMY – Kobiety z Opolskiego programme to strengthen women's participation in public life. The initiative will support at least 30 women‑led projects across the province, allocating up to 4,000 zł per project from a total budget of 150,000 zł. At least two projects are expected from each of the 12 counties.

Fundacja Opolskie Dziouchy will manage the call for proposals, which opened on 25 June 2026 and will remain open until the funds are exhausted. Selected groups will receive financial aid, mentoring and access to informational meetings in Nysa, Olesno, Brzeg and Głubczyce scheduled for late June and July 2026. Implementation of the initiatives runs through 30 November 2026.

Sandra Murzicz, president of the foundation, noted that “women often lack funding for local initiatives and devote their own time and resources,” while Marshal Szymon Ogłaza emphasised the programme’s aim to reach active women beyond the major urban centres.
