Poland expands entrepreneurship grants & youth aid

Entities: Centrum PISOP · Individual Retirement Security Account (IKZE) · Łódzka Agencja Rozwoju Regionalnego · Bielskie Centrum Przedsiębiorczości · Łódź Voivodeship

Overview

Poland’s 2026 agenda continues to blend capital‑market reforms with a raft of targeted programmes for innovators, young entrepreneurs and under‑represented groups. Early in the year the government rolled out Innovate Poland, Personal Investment Accounts and expanded tax incentives in Polish Investment Zones. A youth‑entrepreneurship plan was paired with gender‑inclusive initiatives such as #JESTEŚMY – Kobiety z Opolskiego, while the Agency for Enterprise Development opened a grant call for accredited innovation centres.

July saw the Warmia‑Mazury “Funduszowy Maj” campaign promote EU‑funded and National Recovery Plan projects, and the “Accessibility Plus” loan scheme offered interest‑free, partially‑forgivable loans for accessibility upgrades. The regional agency WARP extended its “Droga do zatrudnienia po węglu” programme to Eastern Wielkopolska, supporting 72 sole‑trader enterprises with over 9 million zł in subsidies.

In the Łódź voivodeship, a new grant scheme (27 July–10 August 2026) provides up to 77 000 zł, including a non‑refundable 53 000 zł share, training and a monthly 2 000 zł bridge payment for up to a year across 35 municipalities. The Individual Retirement Security Account (IKZE) limit was raised to 16 956 zł for self‑employed Poles, with tax‑deductible contributions and a 10 % withdrawal tax after 65.

October 2025 launched the Silesian Fund’s Youth Talent loan‑grant (up to 300 000 zł at 1 % interest, seven‑year term, 12‑month grace, up to 30 % forgiveness after two years) for students and graduates under 35. A parallel “Social Enterprise Step by Step” programme in the Leszno sub‑region offers three‑day training, advisory services and financing for hiring persons at risk of social exclusion, conditional on completing 75 % of the pathway.
