OPPO rolls out ColorOS 16 August update with new AI features

OPPO has launched its August update for ColorOS 16, introducing several new software features and security enhancements across various smartphone models, including the Find and Reno series.

A key addition is the AI Remix Collage tool, which utilizes Smart Cutout to allow users to create personalized stickers, mood boards, and collages by extracting subjects from photos. The update also improves security through the Phone Manager and Security apps, which can now detect and block suspicious activity, malicious pop-ups, and abnormal battery consumption in real time.

User interface improvements include a new gesture to clear all home screen notification badges simultaneously using a two-finger pinch-out. Additionally, the update introduces real-time currency converter widgets and allows users to draw, highlight, and annotate directly on images within the Notes app.

Supported devices for this rollout include the Find N5, N6, X9 series, X8 series, and the Reno5 and Reno6 series. The Reno15 A model in Japan also features significant hardware updates such as a 7,000mAh battery and IP69 dust and water resistance.
