OPPO launches Reno16 series with AI Mind Pilot “second brain” feature

OPPO introduced the Reno16 smartphone series, comprising four new models, in Portugal. The line is built around the AI Mind Pilot assistant, which coordinates multiple generative‑AI models—including Google Gemini, ChatGPT and Perplexity—within a single interface. AI Mind Pilot connects to AI Mind Space, a “second brain” that captures screenshots via the AI Snap Key, automatically organizes data into smart collections, generates expense summaries with AI Bill Manager, and extracts event dates to set reminders. Integration with Google ensures the AI operates on‑device for privacy.

To promote the launch, OPPO opened an immersive pop‑up in Milan featuring K‑pop group BABYMONSTER as the Reno ambassador. The exhibit highlighted the series’ 3D Pop Planet Design and AI‑enhanced creative tools such as Pop Cam and AI Remix Collage, letting visitors test the phones, create content and download it instantly via QR code.
