OPPO launches Reno16 series with AI features and Italian ambassador Clara

OPPO has introduced its new Reno16 series, a line of mid‑range smartphones aimed at social‑first creators. The series, which includes the Reno16 Pro, Reno16 and Reno16 FS, combines a 200 MP main camera, AI‑enhanced imaging tools such as AI Remix Collage, Pop Cam and Popout 2.0, and the ColorOS 16 operating system that integrates generative AI assistants like ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity.

In Italy, the brand appointed singer‑songwriter Clara as the Reno Ambassador for a #FDS “Fuori dallo Scroll” campaign that highlights authentic, behind‑the‑scenes moments. The campaign also features a new 50 MP ultra‑wide front camera and the magnetic OPPO Bubble accessory, a detachable AMOLED screen that serves as a rear‑camera preview, remote shutter and personal‑style badge.

The Reno16 series is being rolled out in several Asian markets. In Indonesia, OPPO highlighted AI‑driven productivity tools such as AI Scan Document, AI Mind Space and AI Bill Manager, with prices ranging from roughly Rp 7.9 million to Rp 14.9 million. In Malaysia, the Reno16 Pro 5G emphasises a compact design, aerospace‑grade aluminium frame, 80 W fast charging and a 3D Pop Planet back cover that creates a holographic planet effect.

Overall, the launch positions the Reno16 line as a content‑creation‑focused alternative to flagship devices, pairing high‑resolution hardware with AI software and a novel accessory ecosystem.
