OPPO launches Reno16 series with 200MP camera, AI tools and 3D Pop Planet design

OPPO has rolled out its Reno16 smartphone series across several markets, including Brazil (launch on 3 August 2024), Singapore, the Gulf Cooperation Council region, Colombia, Taiwan, Portugal, Italy, France and Egypt. The lineup comprises the Reno16, Reno16 Pro and Reno16 F models, all featuring a distinctive 3D Pop Planet (HoloVerse) design that creates a floating nebula‑like visual effect.

The Reno16 Pro is equipped with a 200 MP main rear sensor, a 3.5× optical telephoto lens and a 50 MP ultra‑wide rear camera, while all variants share a 50 MP ultra‑wide front camera with a 100° field of view aimed at group selfies. OPPO bundles AI‑driven imaging software, including Pop Cam vintage‑style filters, AI Remix Collage, Create hub, Pop Out 2.0 and other creative tools integrated into the ColorOS 16 camera app.

Pricing varies by region; the Pro model is listed up to €1,099 in Europe. Marketing campaigns in Taiwan pair the phones with K‑pop group BABYMONSTER and the animated series Pingu, while the Brazilian launch highlights the new Cyber Pop Cam mode with nine retro film styles.
