OPPO Reno16 5G to launch in Japan with 6,700mAh battery

OPPO has announced the release of the Reno16 5G smartphone, scheduled for August 17, 2026, in Japan. Priced at approximately 89,800 yen, the device features a 6.3-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and is designed for easy one-handed use.

Technical specifications include the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, 12GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage. The phone is equipped with a high-capacity 6,700mAh battery supporting 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging. The camera system consists of 50-megapixel sensors for the wide, ultra-wide, telephoto (3.5x optical zoom), and front-facing cameras.

A notable design feature of the series is the "3D Pop Planet Design" utilizing HoloVerse 3D Technology. This uses millions of microscopic microlenses and embedded nano-printing to create a three-dimensional visual effect on the device cover, providing a perceived depth of 15 millimeters.
