OPPO rolls out ColorOS 16 September update with new photo features
OPPO has begun a phased rollout of its ColorOS 16 September update, which introduces several new features focused on photo management and security. Key additions include the ability to manually edit photo timestamps directly within the Photos app, allowing users to correct metadata errors or reorganize memories.
New organizational tools include the ability to hide customized albums from the main view, batch-mark multiple photos as favorites, and toggle between Immersive and By Date browsing modes. The update also introduces a Scan Text feature that extracts, copies, and edits text directly from images, including tools to rotate, straighten, and remove glare or shadows from documents.
Security improvements have been made to the Private Safe, enabling users to select and store multiple files of different formats simultaneously. The rollout is scheduled to take place between September 1 and September 30, targeting devices such as the OPPO Find X9 series, Find X8 series, and various Reno models.
