OPPO Reno16 launches with 6700 mAh battery, AI camera and Bubble accessory

OPPO has launched the Reno16 series, positioning it as a fashion‑focused flagship. The phones are powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8550 SUPER chipset built on a 4 nm process and are offered with 256 GB or 512 GB of storage paired with 12 GB‑16 GB of RAM. A 6700 mAh battery supports 80 W fast charging, and the 6.32‑inch AMOLED display runs at 120 Hz with HDR10+ and up to 3600 nits of brightness.

The Reno16 line uses a triple‑rear camera system that includes a 200 MP main sensor (developed with Hasselblad), a 50 MP telephoto lens with 3.5× optical zoom and a 50 MP ultra‑wide lens, plus a 50 MP front camera. AI features such as AI Portrait, Natural Tone Imaging, object‑removal editing, animated effects, and the Mind Space AI assistant aim to compete with Samsung and Google flagship cameras.

A distinctive “Heartbeat Starlight” colourway showcases a naked‑eye 3D imaging film on the back panel, creating a floating star effect that can be viewed from almost any angle.

OPPO also introduced the Bubble accessory, a magnetic module that attaches to the Reno16 series. It houses a 1.73‑inch AMOLED screen that provides a live preview of the rear camera, remote shutter control up to 10 m, zoom adjustment, and the ability to display images or short videos. Designed for group selfies, vlogging and creative shooting, Bubble is IP54‑rated, powered by a 560 mAh battery, and weighs 27.5 g.
