Oradea Airport adds direct flights to Rome and Dortmund
On 28 June 2026, Oradea Airport officially opened two new international routes operated by Wizz Air, linking the Romanian city with Rome Fiumicino (Italy) and Dortmund (Germany). The flights will run twice weekly, on Wednesdays and Sundays, with outbound departures from Oradea at 15:15 to Rome and at 10:00 to Dortmund, and return flights arriving back in Oradea in the late morning. Tickets start at 99 RON and can be booked via the airline’s website or mobile app.
Anastasia Novak, Wizz Air’s Corporate & Sustainability Communications Manager, said the routes will "consolidate the region’s links with important European destinations, supporting tourism and business travel." Bihor County Council President Mircea Mălan highlighted the added travel options for local residents and the potential boost to the local economy. The new services expand Wizz Air’s Romanian network, which already covers 227 routes from 14 airports across 27 countries.
