Debrecen and Oradea host major cultural festivals
Several major cultural festivals are taking place in Hungary and Romania. In Debrecen, the 60th anniversary of the Flower Carnival features over 350 events, including parades with 2,000 artists from nine countries. To accommodate visitors, MÁV has introduced increased train frequencies and night services.
Oradea is hosting the Hungarian Culture Days from August 20–22, featuring dance performances, folk music, and allegorical flower floats. This event highlights the ongoing cultural partnership between Oradea and Debrecen, with flower floats appearing in Oradea for the 26th consecutive year.
In Romania's Dâmbovița county, various activities are scheduled for the weekend of August 21–22, including a football match between AFC Chindia Târgoviște and CS Dinamo București, rock festivals in Pucioasa, and community celebrations in Doicești and Aninoasa. Additionally, Dâmbovița Mall is celebrating its sixth anniversary with a three-day program of music and family activities.
