Oradea launches resident information campaign for digital eco-islands
Oradea is continuing its information campaign to educate residents on the use of new digital eco-islands for selective waste collection. City officials are holding meetings with representatives from apartment associations in various neighborhoods, including the areas around Dacia and Nicolae Bălcescu streets, to explain the new system.
Residents are encouraged to attend these sessions and must bring their previously issued access cards. The information and training campaign is scheduled to continue weekly through the end of October. The meetings involve staff from the Oradea City Hall, local police, and the sanitation service provider RER Vest.
A total of 367 digital eco-islands have been installed in Oradea as part of a project funded by the European Union through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR). This includes 100 units installed in 2024 and an additional 267 units implemented this year.
