Business movements in Brazil launch diversity manifesto
Nine business movements representing over 700 large organizations met in São Paulo to launch a manifesto committing to diversity, equity, and inclusion. The document emphasizes the protection of social rights, the strengthening of institutions, and the preservation of democracy as essential components for sustainable economic development and prosperity in Brazil.
Margareth Goldenberg, executive director of the Movimento Mulher 360, stated that the initiative responds to a perceived rise in discourses that delegitimize inclusion policies and relativize historical inequalities. The manifesto calls on business leadership to uphold constitutional rights, human dignity, and equal opportunities, regardless of political trends or government changes.
