Orbitals adventure game launches as Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive

The cooperative adventure game ‘Orbitals’ has officially released as a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive. Developed by the Tokyo-based team Shapefarm and published by Kepler Interactive, the title features a retro anime art style inspired by 1980s and 1990s classics.

Players control two explorers, Maki and Omura, working together to save a collapsing space station from cosmic threats. The game supports various multiplayer modes, including local split-screen on a single console, ‘osuso-wake’ communication, and a Global Friend Pass for connecting different consoles.

Built using Unreal Engine 5, the game includes a digital soundtrack featuring songs by Japanese singer-songwriter Maya Ayukawa. In Hong Kong, a pop-up event in collaboration with the Nintendo Switch specialty store Assemble is scheduled from September 3 to October 7.
