Orca AI and Samsung Heavy Industries launch BerthView

Orca AI and Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) have commercially launched BerthView, an AI-powered berthing assistance solution. The system integrates Orca AI’s SeaPod digital watchkeeper with SHI’s SVISION system to provide continuous situational awareness from open water through the final stages of berthing.

BerthView utilizes AI, computer vision, and fisheye cameras to provide a 360-degree view of a vessel’s surroundings. The technology includes visual distance guides and virtual safety boundaries to help crews manage close-quarters maneuvering near quay walls and other vessels. The solution is available for retrofit on existing fleets as well as new builds.

Additionally, the system connects navigational data to FleetView, Orca AI’s cloud-based platform, allowing shore-based teams to monitor risks, investigate incidents, and support claims using real-time operational data.
