Order of the Sinking Star trailer reveals new gameplay details

Arc Games and developer Thekla have released a new trailer for Order of the Sinking Star, a narrative adventure and puzzle game directed by Jonathan Blow, known for Braid and The Witness. The trailer, titled ‘Explore the Realm’, showcases the game’s non-linear open world and its four distinct environments that eventually converge.

The game features over 1,000 hand-crafted puzzles and multiple gameplay mechanics. Players explore a realm filled with magic, dangerous contraptions, and monsters. The structure includes a central hub called the Overworld, which allows for player freedom across four branching paths: The North, featuring a group of fantasy adventurers with unique object-manipulation abilities; and The East, known as the Mirror Isles, which involves navigating an archipelago using magic mirrors to swap positions with reflections.

According to reports, the title is scheduled for release on Nintendo Switch 2 next month.
