Ordu hazelnut producers move crops to coast for drying

In Ordu, hazelnut producers are moving their crops from high-altitude regions to coastal areas to facilitate drying. Due to cool and humid weather in the higher elevations, the conditions are unsuitable for the necessary drying process.

Farmers are transporting the harvested hazelnuts to the coast, where they are processed through threshers and spread in sunny areas for drying and sorting. This effort aims to prepare the product for sale. Some producers have reported staying near their crops overnight to monitor the drying and selection process.
