Oregon impersonators pose as ICE agents assault driver on Highway 211
On July 17, three masked men impersonating U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents stopped a driver on Highway 211 near Woodburn, Clackamas County, Oregon. The men arrived in an unmarked SUV with flashing red and blue lights, wore boots, baseball caps, green long‑sleeved shirts and tactical vests marked “POLICE”, and one was armed with a rifle. They identified themselves as ICE, forcibly removed the driver, searched them and placed them in the back seat of their vehicle. A third individual assaulted the driver for about 20 minutes before the victim was released after roughly 15‑20 minutes. The driver was taken to a hospital for injuries and later received text messages from a number claiming to be a law‑firm offering legal services. Oregon State Police and the FBI are jointly investigating and have confirmed the men were not ICE agents. The Portland Immigrant Rights Coalition said the victim is an immigrant community member.
