ORF appoints new director team under incoming General Director Clemens Pig

Clemens Pig, slated to become the General Director of Austria’s public broadcaster ORF in 2027, has presented a slate of senior managers to the ORF Foundation Board. The board is set to vote on the appointments on 11 August.

The proposed team includes Silvia Lieb, former chair of the Moser Holding and the Tiroler Tageszeitung, as finance director; Michael Krön, former chief producer who oversaw the Eurovision Song Contest, as program director; Angelika Simma (Simma‑Wallinger) as director of audience and platforms; and Harald Kräuter, who will continue as technology director. The proposal also names 13 regional directors for Austria’s federal states.
