Organization of Turkic States aims for increased global geopolitical influence

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has emphasized the strategic importance of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), advocating for the organization to maximize its potential to become a significant global actor and power center.

During meetings in Baku with security leaders from member states, Aliyev highlighted that the OTS is a priority for Azerbaijan, describing the Turkic world as a “family.” He noted that the organization's strength lies in its vast geography, significant military potential, economic resources, and growing population.

The cooperation within the OTS is expanding beyond bilateral relations to include critical areas such as international security, energy supply, transport connectivity, trade, and regional stability. The organization serves as a platform for political, economic, humanitarian, and security integration among member states and observers.
