The combined Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the member and observer states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) has reached $2.11 trillion, representing approximately 2% of the global economy. According to an analysis report by the Azerbaijan Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, the total trade volume of these nations has reached $1.13 trillion, accounting for 3.6% of global trade.
The report highlights a shift from traditional trade-focused structures toward a more integrated economic model. Within this framework, Turkey leads in trade relations, while Azerbaijan stands out in foreign direct investment.
Logistical activity along the Middle Corridor is also increasing due to geopolitical shifts. Key metrics include a 34% increase in dry cargo transportation via the Caspian Sea, a 15% rise in container handling at the Port of Baku, and a 12% increase in East-West railway transit passages.
