Orio clinches victory in Euskotren Liga rowing race

Orio’s crew won the latest Euskotren Liga regatta, posting an 11:04.28 time to finish first in the Arraun Lagunak competition. The town’s rowers outpaced Tolosa, which took second place with a margin of six seconds, followed by San Juan, Orio, Donostiarra, Hibaika, Astillero and Zumaia in the final standings. This triumph adds to Orio’s recent success, marking the fifth flag win in the Orioko Kanpina XIV series.

The race featured strong winds from the northwest and supportive waves that aided the paddlers, particularly on the first leg where the offshore crews performed better. The event was held on Saturday, mirroring the previous year’s competition in Castron.
