Orlando ranked top U.S. city for retirees in WalletHub report

A new report from WalletHub has identified Florida as the premier state for retirees, with Orlando securing the top position among more than 180 U.S. cities analyzed. The ranking is based on 45 metrics, including affordability, healthcare, activities, and quality of life.

Orlando’s top ranking is attributed to its tax-friendliness, as Florida lacks estate, inheritance, and income taxes. The city also scored highly for geriatric hospital access and recreational opportunities. Miami ranked second, noted for its walkability and volunteer activities, while Tampa took the third spot, cited for its low property crime rates and tax advantages.
