Orleans Brandão announced former São Luís mayor Edivaldo Holanda Júnior as his pre‑candidate vice‑governor on a video released on social media. Edivaldo, a 47‑year‑old former federal deputy and two‑term mayor, will join Brandão’s ticket as part of a strategy to broaden support across Maranhão.

The partnership has been dubbed the “Vingadores de Holandinha,” a group of former municipal aides and allies assembled to strengthen the campaign against rival Eduardo Braide in the São Luís metropolitan area.
