His opponent, Felipe Camarão (PT), has focused on aligning his platform with President Lula’s social inclusion policies while criticizing Eduardo Braide (PSD) by linking a Senate ally of Braide to the January 8th events.

Senator Weverton Rocha is also strengthening his reelection bid for the Senate by securing endorsements from local mayors, including the mayors of Grajaú and Montes Altos, who cited his history of cooperation with municipal administrations. Polling indicates a highly competitive race, with Brandão and Braide closely matched in stimulated voting.
