Orleans Brandão rallies in Maranhão, pledges agribusiness reforms and local infrastructure

Pre‑candidate for Maranhão governor Orleans Brandão toured the state, beginning with a reception in Davinópolis where municipal leaders praised recent projects such as a technology hub, Viva Procon office, a military school and road paving. Brandão emphasized a policy of continuous dialogue with mayors to deliver rapid public works.

Later in Imperatriz, Brandão met producers and rural union officials at the SINRURAL headquarters. Attendees highlighted critical issues for the agribusiness sector, including unreliable rural electricity, poor secondary roads, and competition from unregulated imported dairy products.
