Orlen raises wholesale fuel prices in Poland amid rising oil costs

Orlen has increased wholesale fuel prices in Poland following a rise in global oil markets. Brent crude prices have risen for four consecutive sessions, approaching $90 per barrel, driven by geopolitical tensions between the USA and Iran and uncertainties regarding the Strait of Hormuz.

According to Orlen’s wholesale price list, the price of Eurosuper 95 gasoline increased by 61 PLN per cubic meter compared to August 8, while diesel prices rose by 66 PLN per cubic meter. These wholesale hikes may lead to higher retail prices at gas stations once VAT is applied. Meanwhile, the Polish government has yet to finalize decisions regarding potential measures to lower fuel costs during the final two weeks of the summer holiday season.
