Oroco Studio renovates compact 40-sqm apartment in Madrid

Oroco Studio has completed a renovation of a 40-square-meter apartment located in the Palacio neighborhood of Madrid. Designed as a first home, the project focuses on maximizing spatial continuity and functionality within a limited footprint.

The design utilizes a restrained material palette consisting of granite, plaster, and steel to create a sense of depth and openness. By prioritizing materiality over decorative gestures or excessive partitioning, the intervention aims to transform the compact space into a cohesive living environment that balances austerity with warmth.
