Orquesta de Cámara de Chile hosts educational concerts for students
The Orquesta de Cámara de Chile (OCCh) held a series of educational concerts at the Teatro California in Ñuñoa between September 23 and 25. The initiative brought more than 2,500 students from 22 different communes across the Metropolitan Region to experience live classical music.
Supported by the Ministry of Cultures, Arts and Heritage and the Regional Ministerial Secretariat of Education, the program focused on cultural decentralization. It included delegations from both central urban sectors and rural areas such as Colina, Talagante, and El Monte. The performances featured a pedagogical approach led by director Juan Pablo Aguayo, who utilized traditional Chilean 'décimas' poetry to guide the young audience through the musical program.
