Orquestra Filarmônica de Goiás presents second chamber concert of 2026 in Goiânia
The Orquestra Filarmônica de Goiás will stage its second chamber concert of the 2026 season on Thursday, 30 July, at the Teatro Sesi in the Santa Genoveva district of Goiânia. Admission is free and tickets are not required in advance.
The program highlights 20th‑century works that influenced contemporary music. In the first act, the wind quintet of Carl Nielsen’s “Quintet for Winds” and Paul Hindemith’s “Kleine Kammermusik” will be performed. The second act features Heitor Villa‑Lobos’s “Choros No. 4” and Gunther Schuller’s “Music for Brass Quintet,” blending national musical identities of Brazil and the United States. The concert is part of the orchestra’s “Natureza e Sons” season, which explores the relationship between nature and sound.
