Ortahisar Municipality provides motorized wheelchair to local resident

Through the “Overcoming Obstacles Together by Recycling” project, the Ortahisar Municipality in Trabzon has provided a motorized wheelchair to 21-year-old Evren Tokgöz. The initiative is managed by the municipality’s Climate Change and Zero Waste Directorate.

The motorized vehicle was funded through recycling efforts. Deputy Mayor Mustafa Özer İskender and Climate Change and Zero Waste Manager Ezgi Kazan presented the vehicle to Tokgöz, who lives in the İnönü neighborhood. In addition to the mobility aid, Tokgöz, a dedicated Trabzonspor fan, received a personalized team jersey.

According to Deputy Mayor İskender, this project has successfully delivered 10 motorized vehicles to citizens in need to date. The program aims to simultaneously promote environmental protection through recycling and improve the quality of life for individuals with disabilities.
