Osaka hosts regional sake and craft beer festivals

Various alcohol-themed events are being held in the Osaka region to promote local industry and regional revitalization.

In Namba, the ‘Osaka Sake Square 2026’ is scheduled for October 17 and 18 at the Namba Carnival Mall. The event features 77 varieties of sake from 26 breweries across the Kansai region, including producers from Osaka, Kyoto, Hyogo, Nara, Shiga, and Wakayama. The festival will also include various food stalls and sweets designed to pair with local sake, alongside entertainment from FM802 DJs.

Additionally, the ‘RINKU SEASIDE CRAFT BEER DAYS’ was held at the Rinku Premium Outlets in Izumisano City on September 26 and 27. This inaugural event aimed to foster regional cooperation by featuring local businesses, including Yoho Brewing’s Osaka brewery and the local craft beer specialist Lone Star. The event offered various craft beers, including selections made with locally grown hops, alongside food options to encourage community engagement and area revitalization.
