Denis Young Kim sought for attempted murder of elderly man in Osasco

A temporary arrest warrant has been issued for Denis Young Kim, who is accused of attempting to murder a 78-year-old man in Osasco, São Paulo. Security footage captured the incident, which occurred after the victim, José Ricardo dos Santos, reportedly touched the rear of Kim's vehicle with a crutch while walking.

According to investigators, Kim exited his vehicle and struck the elderly man in the back with a kick, subsequently stomping on his head while he lay on the ground. The victim, who was using crutches following femur surgery, suffered head injuries and a broken rib but was later discharged from the hospital.

Kim is currently a fugitive. Authorities noted that he was serving a sentence in an open regime for a 2016 homicide, in which he killed a scavenger using a crossbow following a traffic dispute. He also has a criminal history involving allegations of domestic violence and an attempted homicide against a stepfather in 2013.
