Osijek driver jailed after 2.90‰ alcohol crash and separate 1.58‰ DUI incident

A 39‑year‑old truck driver in Osijek veered off Matije Gupca Street, struck a parked car and caused injuries to one person and material damage in several crashes. He was not wearing a seat‑belt and registered a blood‑alcohol level of 2.90 ‰. The court imposed a €1,710 fine, a three‑month ban on driving a B‑category vehicle and six penalty points.

In a separate incident on the same day, a 50‑year‑old man was stopped in Osijek while driving without a licence and recorded a blood‑alcohol level of 1.58 ‰. He received a €2,650 fine and a 12‑month B‑category driving ban, also with six penalty points.
