Osmangazi Municipality launches Parent School project

Osmangazi Municipality has launched the ‘Parent School’ project in collaboration with the Bursa Family Counselors and Training Association (BURADDER). The initiative aims to support families in the child-rearing process under the principle of ‘Strong Family, Healthy Society.’

The first session, held at the Ördekli Cultural Center, focused on ‘Child Development’ and was led by expert psychologist Emrullah Kılıç. The interactive training covered topics including the developmental journey of children, parenting roles, parental attitudes, and how an individual’s own childhood and family experiences influence their parenting style.

Nükhet Bozkurt, Chairperson of BURADDER, emphasized that investing in families is an investment in the future. Psychologist Emrullah Kılıç noted that the session encouraged participants to reflect on their own upbringing and how to navigate parenting within the context of modern culture and new generations.
