Turkey expands healthcare infrastructure with new medical facilities

Various municipalities and health institutions in Turkey are expanding medical services and infrastructure through new facility openings and staffing updates.

In Bursa, Osmangazi Municipality has opened three new service units in the Ovaakça Çeşmebaşı neighborhood, including a family health center, a service building, and a children's park. The projects were completed with support from local businesspeople.

In Melikgazi, the Mürüvvet-Saadettin Türkkan Oral and Dental Health Polyclinic is set to open, providing services to the Selçuklu, Danışmentgazi, and Osmanlı neighborhoods. The facility will be staffed by eight specialist dentists and includes a laboratory and X-ray rooms.

In Konya, Selçuklu Municipality is nearing completion of a new Family Health Center in the Işıklar neighborhood. The 918-square-meter facility will feature five physician rooms, a laboratory, and specialized units for maternal and infant care.

Additionally, Sarıkaya State Hospital has strengthened its medical staff with the appointment of ophthalmologist Dr. Samet Çiftçi. Meanwhile, the upcoming 1,700-bed Şanlıurfa City Hospital has announced plans to hire 27 educators and 92 staff members to manage its on-site nursery and educational units for employees' children.
