Osmangazi Municipality to host 2nd Osmangazi Book Days in Bursa
The Osmangazi Municipality has announced the 2nd Osmangazi Book Days, scheduled to take place from September 26 to October 4 at Osmangazi Square. Organized in collaboration with YAYKOOP, the event celebrates the 700th anniversary of the conquest of Bursa under the theme ‘700 Years We Are Here: With Literature, History and Art’.
The nine-day festival will feature book and publishing stands, along with discussions, signing sessions, and activities specifically designed for children and youth. The program aims to bring together prominent figures from various genres, including literature, history, psychology, humor, and children's literature.
Notable authors expected to attend include Ahmet Ümit, Buket Uzuner, Gani Müjde, Emrah Safa Gürkan, Beyhan Budak, Bahar Eriş, Sinan Yağmur, Mert Arık, and Serkan Karaismailoğlu. Osmangazi Mayor Erkan Aydın noted that the inaugural event last year hosted more than 100,000 visitors and expressed the goal of making the book days a permanent fixture in the district's cultural and artistic life.
