OSP Żabce fundraising campaign disrupted by theft

The “Operation 4 Million” initiative by the OSP Żabce volunteer fire department has been disrupted by thieves. The community-driven campaign aims to collect four million bottles and cans to fund a new rescue and firefighting vehicle.

Over a recent weekend, thieves targeted three collection points in Międzyrzec Podlaski. In two instances, the collected bottles and cans were stolen, while in a third instance, the perpetrators also destroyed the collection bin. The incident has been reported to the police, who are currently reviewing surveillance footage and evidence.

Despite the setback, the firefighters remain committed to the cause. To date, the campaign has successfully collected over 145,000 containers, showing significant growth since its inception.
