Ossona: Two ATMs targeted in nighttime explosions

Criminals targeted two ATMs in Ossona, Italy, during the night between Friday, September 25, and Saturday, September 26. The attackers used explosives to access the machines, specifically targeting a Banco BPM ATM in Piazza Litta and a Postamat in Via Baracca.

The explosions occurred shortly before 4:00 AM and were heard throughout the town. Preliminary investigations suggest that at least two separate groups may have acted almost simultaneously. While the exact amount of cash stolen and the total cost of the structural damage are still being determined, the perpetrators fled the scene immediately after the blasts.

The Carabinieri of the Abbiategrasso Company are investigating the incident. This event follows a pattern of similar ATM bombings in the Altomilanese and Varesotto regions, including recent attacks in Travedona Monate, Inarzo, Saronno, and Busto Garolfo.
